Who is BTS?
BTS (Also known as: bangtan boy, korean:방탄소년단) is a southkorean boygroup who debuted in the year 2013 (Which means they are part of the 3rd generation). The group is formed by seven members and performs under the company Big hit Entertainment (Now known as Hybe).
Big hit was not one of the big three at the time BTS was formed. It was an unknown and broke company who were lucky to get those seven members! With BTS the company grew to the size they are today. Now most of the time it’s called the big four companys where Hybe is also included.
But let’s meet the members before we talk more about the Company and BTS as group.
Kim Seokjin – World Wide Handsome

Kim Seokjin is the oldest of the group being born on 4 December 1992. He was born in Gwacheon in South Korea. Jin has an older brother whos name is Kim Seokjoong and was born in 1990.
His role in BTS is main visual, Songwriter and Vocalist. Even tho he is the older he is not the Leader of BTS cause Big hit Entertainment doesn’t give the Leader role to the oldest. They do that because the Leaders are able to lean on the older member then if they need help since in Korea there is more respect for older ones.
How he became part of the big boy group is kind of an unexpected Story. Jin was studying to be an actor in university until he got scouted in a bus from the company. They thought that he is very handsome and signed him as an actor. Later they put him into training to become and idol to learn sing and dancing where he didn’t have any experience in. He joined 2011 as a trainee.
Back then when the group was formed all were pretty poor since the company itself didn’t have much money. Jin stole the kitchen equipment from his mom and some food then and there to feed the other member. That’s one of the reasons why Jin also gets called “Eomma” sometimes which especially happened during the beginning of the creation of BTS.
Kim Seokjin was pretty early known as self-confident, cheerfull and protecting infront of his Members. Some people would call selfabsorb. He gave himself the nickname “World wide handsome” pretty early cause he thought it would suit him pretty well. Armys loved the name and still use it to this day.
Besides the music and concerts Jin had more own shows to connect with the people. He started an own show called “Jin’s cooking diary” where he started teaching army how to cook with a funny blog. Later on the Show changed to “Eat, Jin” where he didn’t cook but eat the food.
After a few episodes he changed to Vlive to eat and answer questions from Army on a livestream. The show has 2 Seasons where the first Season was just eating and the second also describing the Food itself
In 2022 Jin was the first member to enlist to the military. Even tho BTS already was allowed to go later than they are supposed to do they all decided to still go to the military cause it felt like their duty. With that Jin was also the first one to get discarged by the military at june 24 2024. One day after a fan event to honour BTS 11th Anniversary. A few days after he had the honour to serve as toachbearer at the olympics 2024 in Paris.
Since he missed army and his job he published his own Spin of show “Run Jin” on Agust 13 which is based on the variety show “Run BTS”. A new Episode was aired every Tuesday to entertain Armys who missed him very much.
Sommer 2025 Jin started his first Solo Concert Tour names “Runseokjin EP. Tour”. The tour began 28-29 june in Gojung before it continued to Chiba, Osaka, Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark, London and Amsterdam. The last date was the 1 Novembet in Incheon.

Min Yoongi – Stone and Cat
Min Yoongi also known as Suga or Agust D is the second oldest in the group. His position is Lead Rapper, Producer and Songwriter. He is part of the rapline who include three people in total. Yoongi was born on 9th March 1993 in Daegu.
